| Job Description: |
As a member of my client company's
front end engineering team, you will
design and develop user-facing
features that will be part of our
website. The primary job function will
be to ensure that the company's front
end website interacts properly with
our high performance backend computing
systems and
databases.
You will dedicate much of
your time working within our MVC
framework on the model and controller
side, setting up data for our HTML/CSS
and engineers.
Requirements:
Two - five years of solid experience
with Java or LAMP.
Experience with service oriented
architecture
Experience w/ MVC (Model-View-
Controller) architecture via CakePHP,
Ruby on Rails, Django or similar
framework
Strong knowledge of MySQL
Experience with HTML, semantic markup
(microformats), CSS and javascript
(JQuery) is preferred
Familiar with scripting languages like
Ruby, Python, & Perl a plus
Other skills:
Ability to suggest creative solutions
to product iterations
Unbeatable enthusiasm
Ability to meet long and short term
project deadlines
Sense of Humor
